A/N: AU- Tezuka and Fuji are Tokyo University students and share an apartment together. A snapshot of their life together, sharing moments to make memories.
Memory: Fuji goes doki-doki rabu over Tezuka…Super Junior style!!
Tezuka kept eyeing his watch for the time, it was already half past midnight and Fuji was still out. His cellphone remained silent and his calm comportment was slowly wearing thin. He piled his books, gathered his lose notes in a binder, and neatly packed his school work in his canvas backpack. He leaned back on the sofa and scanned the living room, which was impeccably kept clean and well organized, he noticed the centerpiece was slightly off to the side, Tezuka leaned forward to move the centerpiece right back at the center of the table.
He found the TV remote and flicked the power on, checking the channels for something interesting to watch while waiting for Fuji to come home. He first checked the news, the sports channel, the discovery channel, national geographic and stopped at the music channel, MTV-Asia, the song played sounded very familiar and he remembered it was Fuji’s new favorite song, K-pop,
“Super Juniors Marry U.” Tezuka read the English sub-titles while listening to the song. He was a little surprised that Fuji enjoyed that kind of music. He didn’t notice this kind of interest in the past, where Fuji would go to such extent to learn the words of his selected tunes.
Then Tezuka wondered about Sungmin but stopped his thoughts before he totally drove his mind crazy over the matter. Surely he knew a clouded mind could lead to a doubting heart and that was something Tezuka never wanted to own. But his mind kept falling back to his musings over the matter, he couldn't help think if Fuji was falling for the other man.
Tezuka searched for something constructive to work on, he stared at the TV screen as the music video ended. He missed the entire video after all because of his doubtful thoughts. He scanned around the room searching for the laptop bag, which he found at the bottom shelf of the bookstand. An idea popped in his mind of something to keep him busy while he waited for Fuji to return home

Lost in his own thoughts, Fuji tried to figure out what to do with the challenge Tezuka presented to him a few days back. A marriage proposal, something he was quite taken aback because he was not quite ready to deal with such idea in his life. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the tennis player however same sex marriage was not accepted in Japanese society. Although their relationship was out in the open, the idea of registering as a married couple…he wasn't sure if they were both ready to jump ino it.
There was also the situation with their families. Tezuka’s family accepted their relationship up to this point and his family was tolerating their living situation, but marriage? Was it alright for them to assume their families will approve of the idea and give them their blessings?
Fuji checked his watch for the time, it was once again very late at night, he should be home with Tezuka. He felt guilty for purposely staying out late, avoiding the idea of confronting Tezuka about the matter. He needed to go home and talk toTezuka rather than avoid him.
“Sungmin-san, it’s late, could we wrap things up now?” Fuji asked.
“Fuji-san, we'll continue tomorrow then?” The Korean student replied, “I’ll be ready in a few minutes and I’ll take you home?”
Fuji picked up his cellphone and noticed it was shut off, once turned on he noticed the numerous missed calls from Tezuka. “Thank you, I think I’d rather call Kunimitsu and ask him to pick me up?” The honey-haired artist replied.
“I can drive you home Fuji-san, there is no need to call and bother Tezuka-san.” Sungmin answered.
“Very well, could we go now then?” Fuji asked.
The drive was not far but it felt like forever for Fuji. He wanted to be home with Tezuka but it appeared like the Korean student was driving very slowly.
“Fuji-kun do you want to grab a bite to eat, I am hungry.” Sungmin glanced at Fuji.
“Thank you but its late, I have someone waiting for me at home.” Fuji answered with his usual masked smile.
“How are you doing with the song by the way? Is there anything else I can help you with the words?” The other artist asked smiling at Fuji as well.
Fuji was not really paying attention to their conversation for he had Tezuka in his mind.
“Huh? Sorry, what did you ask just now?” Fuji queried.
Sungmin pressed on the break to slow down and parked his car at the side of the road, a couple blocks away from Fuji’s apartment. He slowly turned to face the blue-eyed passenger and reached to hold his hand,
“Fuji-kun, would you consider going out with me?” Sungmin asked, keeping Fuji’s hands locked on his.
Fuji stared at the hand holding his and turned his stare at the Korean student, slowly he shifted his hands free.
He saw the French bakery’s lights were still on and decided to gather his things.
“Sungmin-san, I’m going to pretend that this conversation never happened.” Fuji stated calmly, “Go home, we’re both tired and the answer to your question would be no.”
Fuji exited the car and quickly paced towards the bakery without looking back. He found an empty table and immediately dropped his things on it, sat down and called Tezuka. Fifteen minutes passed and Tezuka’s SUV was parked in front of the café. Two mugs of hot tea were on the table when Tezuka sat next to Fuji.
“Are you alright?” Tezuka asked, draping his arms around Fuji, enclosing the lithe man in a protective hug.
Fuji felt so tired all of a sudden but comfortable inside Tezuka’s embrace, “I’m fine tired but alright. I’m sorry to call you out this late at night Kunimitsu.”
“Let’s finish the tea and go home.” Tezuka suggested, keeping a protective arm around the petite man, “We can talk later.” The tennis player reached for his mug of tea and quietly sipped the warm brew. Fuji did as he was told, savoring the warmth of the drink he ordered.
In Tezuka’s arms, he felt safe there was no doubt about it. Tezuka was there for him the moment he needed him. Whatever confusion he had in his mind was nothing more but wasted thought.
