“Hiro-san.”
“Stop it Nowaki,” Hiroki ordered.
“Hiro-san,” Nowaki called again.
“What is it this time?” the university professor asked, his annoyance was apparent in his voice.
“Tell me you love me,” Nowaki asked, “I want to hear you say it again.”
“No.”
“Hiro-san, please,” the medical student begged.
“Stop it,” Nowaki secretly smiled, he loved hearing his lover beg. The sound of his voice was urgent over the phone.
“Hiro-san, I miss you,” Nowaki confessed, “Say you love me.”
One more day and Nowaki could come home. His new schedule in the hospital required him to stay in the facility three days in a row and Nowaki missed him already.
“I love you,” Hiroki answered, “I miss you and I can’t wait till you come home.”
“If you want me home you could say so and I will be there, Hiro-san,” Nowaki replied.
“Like you would do that for me,” Hiroki smiled, deep inside he wished his lover would come home.
“You can rely on me,” Nowaki stated, “I’ll do anything to make you happy.”
“I know,” Hiroki closed his eyes, “I’ll wait, you’re worth waiting for Nowaki.”
“Hiro-san.”
The doorbell rung loudly, Hiroki jumped, one month in their new apartment and he’s still not used to the sound of the blaring bell. He opened the door and was shocked to see his lover smiling at him, his cellphone still pasted on his ear. Hiroki himself had the house phone set on his ear.
“I’m home, Hiro-san,” Nowaki spoke over the phone.
Hiroki paused momentarily. He needed to wake up from his shock of seeing his lover a day early.
“Nowaki, did you get fired or something?” Hiroki asked flatly, staring at the taller man while he spoke over the phone.
“Aren’t you going to welcome me home, Hiro-san?”
“Welcome home, why are you here?”
“Hiro-san sounded lonely over the phone,” Nowaki state, “I can’t have that at all. I promised you that I would make you happy if you moved in with me.”
Hiroki dropped the phone and without waiting pulled the man inside their apartment and kissed him all over.
