Title: Her Heart’s Wish

Summary: Edward makes Lydia’s wish come true.

“Are you a fairy too?”

“No I am a fairy doctor.”

“What does a fairy doctor do? Do you make wishes come true?

“I help humans communicate with fairies.” Lydia stated, “no I don’t make wishes come true.”

‘I wish to go home now,’ Lydia muttered to herself.

“You communicate with fairies? How about the dead? Can you talk to the dead?”

A weary smile manifested on Lydia’s lips, “I don’t talk to the dead. I help out with fairy issues.”

“I wish to go home. Edward, where are you?” the fairy doctor silently uttered while her eyes roamed around the ballroom filled with English royalty.

“Can you cast spells? Could you make a person fall in love with you?” A nobleman asked from behind.

Lydia froze she recognized the sweet sound of that gentle voice from anywhere.

“Anyone could fall in love, when the person’s love is true and sincere,” Lydia cautiously replied, “a loving heart finds ways to capture the other one’s heart.” She turned and gazed at the glimmering ash mauve eyes.

Edward gazed back at her bright peridot eyes, “My love for you is deep and true Lydia.”

The fairy doctor’s heart fluttered inside, “I know Edward, I wish to be home alone with you soon,” she thought to herself. She was utterly without words, the handsome noble before her simply deemed her speechless.

Edward smiled. He reached for both her gloved hands and kissed them. “May I take you home now?”

Lydia didn’t respond and yet when the Earl led her to leave the ballroom, she didn’t do anything to refuse him. Lydia closed her eyes upon realizing what just occurred and sighed.

She wished this to happen and she made it come true. Somehow she was relieved, glancing at the brightly beaming Earl. She couldn’t doubt his sincerity any longer. At the moment she desperately called for him this evening and he answered her call.
