Kurt read Rachel’s test message, quite depressing news about her romantic tragedy. Well thanks to Flynn, now half-brother status, his southern brain once again taking the lead in his relationship decision. Kurt shuddered recalling Mercedes’ detailed tale-telling of Santana’s mono-spreading kiss resulted to Quinn and Finn’s shared illness. He was relieved that Rachel was spared from such kissing disease.
He wanted to help Rachel but since his “half-brother” status, Kurt is now in a “do not get involved” situation. Besides he has his own romantic challenges with his Blaine - “friend, crush, whatever, they are now. He rolled his eyes after recalling the GAP fiasco from the Jeremiah incident, and now it simply bothers him that he couldn’t deal with his “chorus” status with the Warblers. Kurt enjoyed singing with the group, but he couldn’t keep his desire to shine too. However, with the way the group decides on who gets to lead the pack, he had not an ounce of confidence that his turn to shine to happen any time soon.
He playfully whistled to Pavarotti, while imagining the scene in Cinderella where the beautiful maiden whistled a happy tune with the birds and mice she played dress up with. Kurt could see him doing the same thing, fashionista to the core.
“It’s my turn to have a happy ending PAVAROTTI!” Kurt declared loudly while he stared at his handsome image on the mirror.
Suddenly, a slight ka-thonk echoed beside him when the yellow bird became muted and unmoving after dropping onto the cage flooring. In seconds, not even a blink, Pavarotti, the Warbler’s bird mascot was no more.

Dressed in the blackest of black designer outfit that Kurt perfectly matched with his favorite kid-soft knee high leather boots, the porcelain skinned boy stood before the Council of Warblers and announced to his singing colleagues of Pavarotti’s unexpected demise. Stricken with guilt since Kurt imagined he caused the sudden death of the fragile crooner after verbalizing his desire for a chance in love.
As he sang Black Bird to his fellow crooners, a pair of gleaming brown eyes watched him, eyes widening as tears trickled from Kurt’s saddened blue eyes. Unbeknownst to the singing teen, the eye candy of his dreams experienced some kind of efficacy while listening to his soothing voice. Unaware, as he openly grieved for the bird’s death under his watch, someone’s heart has opened and found home in Kurt’s very existence.
As Kurt sang his good-bye to Pavarotti, Blaine while experiencing the moment, quietly sang, “Hello, it’s you, I’ve been looking for.”

Kurt’s heart overflowed with giggles and the bright smile he wore on his face seem to make him look like the Joker in some Batman movie, but he didn’t care. Despite imagining the scary image of the Gotham City hero’s arch enemy as him, he couldn’t help but still feel beautiful. He finally had his official first kiss from the one boy he wanted to kiss and now Kurt is officially dating Blaine. He recalled the moment, Blaine’s confession and their kiss. Kurt almost screamed out giggling but muffled the sound with his pillow, afraid his family could hear his squeals. How could he ever explain the stupid Joker smile on his lips and the deep blush painted on his face?
He realized how love could be so out of control when it's bursting out from the heart.
“Oh dear, I might end up with a heart attack!” Kurt mused, giggling once more. “Well I guess this is my moment to shine!”
