[September 4, 2008][Prince of Tennis] RSVP

Title:    RSVP
Day/Theme: September 4 [2008]: Happy Thursday to you.
Series: Prince of Tennis
Characters:  Tezuka/Fuji and mention of Atobe.  Konomi owns PoT characters, I just write about them
Rating/Warnings :  None …..  just drabble about nothing really.

Word Count: 532 words.

A/N:  AU- Tezuka and Fuji are TokyoUniversity students and share an apartment together.  A snapshot of their life together, sharing moments to make memories. 

Memory:  Fuji marvels at Ore-sama by accepting a birthday invitation.

“Kunimitsu, Atobe’s birthday is three days before your birthday?”  Fuji stated.

“Hnn?  I’m surprised you even know about his birthday.”  Tezuka replied.

“Look at this!” Fuji waved a linen card and envelope with both their names engraved in embossed ink, “It’s like a wedding invitation or something. Nice linen paper though, and look at the embossed design, it looks like pressed bamboo leaf, very nice.”  The artist continued to admire the invitation card at hand.

Tezuka raised a brow, listening to Fuji rambling on and on with his description of the paper quality, gorgeous calligraphy and embossed work done on the invitation.

“What does the card say Syuusuke?” Tezuka finally interrupted the artist’s with his query.

Fuji stopped abruptly his musings over said invitation and looked at Tezuka with an obvious hint of annoyance.  He didn’t like the way Tezuka cut his rambling.

“It’s just an invite for dinner at 8:00 on Saturday, October 4^th.  Why is that more important right now?”  Fuji asked, glinting blues at the stoic.

“Reason for the invitation you’re admiring Syuusuke.”  Tezuka stated dryly.

An exaggerated sigh came from the artist as he dropped both of his arms to his side, still holding the invitation.

“I guess we’re going Kunimitsu?” Fuji asked.

“You don’t have to go if you don’t want to.” The tennis player replied looking at the petite man squarely.

Fuji eyed him back, darting sharp glares at the stoic.

“Are you saying, you don’t want me to go?” Fuji chided.

“You don’t need to be inconvenienced.”  Tezuka blurted back.

“This is Atobe, we’re talking about.” Fuji reminded him.

“And your point?” Tezuka challenged.

A devious sparkle lit in the wide blue eyes before him.  Tapping the corner of his forehead with his index finger, the artist’s lips curved into a dangerous smile.  Seeing the wicked glint formed in the gorgeous face justified the growing worry in Tezuka’s mind.

“Yes this is Atobe’s birthday, why would you think it would be an inconvenience?” Fuji gleamed, smiling deviously once more.

“Syuusuke promise to behave please.” Tezuka pleaded, witnessing the petite man planning wicked thoughts in his head.

“But of course Kunimitsu,” Fuji announced with such a melodious tone, “I shall marvel at Ore-sama’s awesomeness.”

It was Tezuka’s turn to sigh in frustration.  He watched Fuji search for Atobe’s contact number in his cellphone directory and called the number.

“Atobe, Fuji here,” the artist announced sweetly, “Calling because Tezuka and I will let you have dinner with us on October 4^th.”

Tezuka shook his head while listening to Fuji.

“I know it’s your birthday how could we let it pass after receiving such an ostentatious request for our presence.”  Fuji bantered.  “Well, y-e-s?"  The artist rolled his eyes then smirked as he lowered his voice to imitate Tezuka's stoic timbre,   "Ah. . .Happy Thursday to you too.”

Fuji disconnected the call, beaming with a satisfied smile.  He looked at Tezuka, stoic face glaring at him.  Fuji shrugged a shoulder and innocently asked, “What?  It said call to RSVP and I just did.” 

The artist smiled, picking up the empty mug from the table and walked towards the kitchen playfully humming.

Tezuka watched him and smiled, “Poor Atobe.”

I think Atobe will be alright...I guess he loves pain as company that's why he loves to hang around Fuji and Tezuka!

I see these three men as good friends and I love it when Fuji tortures him in a playful way that is.

I don't know what's install for Atobe on his birthday, chibi Fuji will not tell me yet and they're playing hide n go seek now. Somehow they think its funny, sighs.

Pretty cool, the doujinshi I have of Tezuka and Fuji have also nice artwork, I have to really find time to go through them.

rainy weekend so we're all staying in, I have a house full of chibis with cabin fever! Hmmm, maybe I should just let them play out in the rain, but with the thunderstorms we're experiencing,*sighs* I'm so horrid to even consider it. I think I will give up my laptop for a couple hours while I do my school readings and let my chibis watch Prince of Tennis.

chibi Fujis: No, Us Fuji's want PMK! We want to see Commander Hijikata (eyes sparkling)

chibi Tezukas: Really? (raised eyebrow, stared, returned to reading manga - Gorgeous Carat)

Looks like there's some fiendish aura emanating from both, I'm staying out of this conversation. PMK it is chibi Fujis and chibi Tezukas the rest of Gorgeous Carat is at the manga bookshelf!

Mostly download doujinshis, I have a handful hard copies and some yaoi series (which I keep locked away)

well they are lounging all together reading Gorgeous Carat. Chibi Fuji noticed Florian looked like him - Tezuka seem to be enamored by the character. So chibi Fuji's reading with Tezuka, interested with the other character - Noir. These two are weird today...I hate it when it rains. The other Fujis are watching Ninja Warriors. sighs!

Oy, congratulations on your nomination by the way. Sorry for the late salutations, and you say you're one who is MMD? But anyway, I think we all are putting in our best effort to improve our writing skills and that is the most important thing. Having friends supporting such endeavor makes the challenge exciting and keeps the creative juices going...so gambatte ne, let's do our best!

I've been trying to collect Youka Nitta's mangas but since the controversy her books are now collector's item and selling at exorbitant prices. Lucky enough we have a comm that lets members access scans of her works.

I love rain! It's just yesterday was kind of weird couldn't explain it really. Like I mentioned, even my chibis were acting strange.

One thing I admire about you and Tina-chan, you guys are good writers but very humble about it. Well it gives us all more room to go grow and become better. =_= *bows*

I don't mind the rain. I love it when I'm reading fanfiction, but I hate it when I have to cycle to the metro XD

^__^ We're humble about it because we really think we're not very good XD That's why I (we) love to hear that I'm a good writer. Everytime I finish a fic, I wonder if people will like it.
Your fics are really good too! I'm jealous, because English is so easy for you. You use words and difficult words (for me difficult words XD) so easily. Makes your fics fluent and nice to read. Guess I should move to an English speaking country XD

Fuji was so evil...poor Tezuka and poor Atobe. Though I don't think they would mind the playfulness and evilness of Fuji, right?

I'm pretty sure Atobe's used to Fuji's playfulness, probably even envious of Tezuka being the lucky one to have caught Fuji's love!

Fuji, will always give Atobe a difficult time, in a playful way that is, eventhough Atobe is now friends with the couple, Fuji still keeps a watchful eye on his Tezuka. *smiles*
