A/N:  AU- Tezuka and Fuji are Tokyo University students and share an apartment together. A snapshot of their life together, sharing moments to make memories.

Memory: A picture dilemma!

 

 

“The card didn’t have Tezuka’s picture in it!” the late evening caller stated annoyingly.

“Atobe!” Fuji growled, “Do you know what time it is now?” The irate Fuji stared at the digital time on the flat screen TV. It was almost midnight and Fuji was busy working on an art project for submission in the morning.

“The picture showed a man wearing a tennis shirt with Tezuka’s name." Atobe blurted out.

“Who else would wear Tezuka’s tennis uniform but Tezuka!” the artist replied flatly.

“Fuji what’s the use of giving me a photo of Tezuka’s back?”

“Why would I give you a photo of my boyfriend in the first place?” Fuji queried back.

The pompous caller remained silent. Fuji smiled deviously. He knew it was an evil prank to switch Tezuka’s photo and use another picture that showed only Tezuka’s name from his tennis uniform. However, Fuji simply had a change of heart right before handing the birthday card just before Atobe was leaving their apartment earlier in the day. He had to admit. He was being childish, but he was not one to share anything of Tezuka. He figured. He was gracious enough to let Atobe spend most of the day with them and let his Kunimitsu play tennis all afternoon with him. That was enough, and he simply won’t share anything more.

“Atobe, Tezuka is your friend, and I respect that, but Kunimitsu is mine, and I don’t share." Fuji asserted. 

“I know Fuji,” the former Hyotei captain sighed.

Fuji quietly released a sigh as well, “I’m glad we are agreeing on this one.”

“That’s why I told Tezuka that I should come after you instead,” Atobe bantered.

“And you think in doing so, you will accomplish something?” Fuji asked with obvious sarcasm. He knew prolonging the call was a total waste of his time. “You have nothing better to do? Why don’t you call up your no-show friends and punk them or something?"

“I actually thought about that, but I enjoy bantering with you,” Atobe stated warmly.

“Ain’t going to get you anywhere, and you’re keeping me from finishing a school project." Fuji complained.

“Oh, not from Tezuka?” the caller asked. “Are you home alone, Fuji? Do you want company?”

“Good night Atobe!” Fuji checked the time on the TV screen. “It’s past midnight, be nice to Atobe day is over!”

“Sad end to a special day,” Atobe glumly sounded. “ But thank you from the bottom of my heart, you guys are great friends!” a hint of genuine gratitude played in Fuji's ear.

“You’re welcome Keigo!” Fuji replied warmly, “We love you despite being you!”

“You do?” Atobe exclaimed, “So I can ask for a photo of you and Tezuka then?”

Fuji couldn’t help but throw his pencil up in the air in frustration. However, with a smirk on his lips he replied, “The next time you come by, I’ll give you a photo of us alright,  Mitsu and Fuji, together.”

The devious artist grabbed another pencil and began drawing a pair of apples.

Hehehe! Tezuka would probably do something worse than what Fuji would do...but they're all friends so they could handle Atobe's teasing!

KAWAII!!! Fuji is the "PERFECT" example of a possessive but sweet UKE..soo Kawaii..

I also love the banter between them (Atobe and Fuji).

I laughed a little too loud on the last part that my mom looked at me questioningly..ehehehehe!! Trust Fuji to come up w/ the best picture.^___^

Ore-sama might be a bit too arrogant, he is still a warm and great friend. I really like the interaction between Fuji and Ore-sama. The teasings and all just shown how good their relationship actually is. :)

Couldn't stop giggling after reading the last line...Mitsu apple and Fuji apple (although Mitsu apple doesn't really call "Mitsu apple" in English, but still) :D

I know it's Mutsu actually but Fuji play with words and Atobe could be so clueless!

I love Atobe when he teases the couple... he is a great friend but will always lose to Fuji's teasing!
