The ache burning from his shoulder radiated down his arm, all the way to the tips of his fingers. It rolled up his neck then down his spine. Tezuka’s eyes blurred as the nausea shot from his stomach up to his throat. He coughed when the acid taste reached his mouth, and the athlete couldn’t stop the wretched spill of puke. He didn’t expect his body to react so viciously from a simple ache emanating from his shoulder, but the pain shot so quickly and the effect rippled catatonic-like through his body. His temples pounded like gongs banged on each side of his head.
Tezuka hadn’t experienced this much pain since his match with Atobe during middle school. It’s been over five years. Fear took control of the ever so careful Tezuka as he fell on his knees. Slowly, he adjusted his body and sat on the bathroom floor and leaned on the wall next to the toilet. Eyes closed. Beads of cold sweat formed on his forehead. He felt like the bathroom was spinning like he was in some roller coaster ride.
Lucky enough, he was home but home alone. Fuji wasn’t due back for another hour and his cell phone was beyond his reach at this moment. Tezuka decided to remain still where he was until he managed to take control of his body.
‘Mind over body. Mind over body. Mind over body.’
The athlete repeated the phrase like some form of hypnotic chant. It was more like some prayer. He thought. He fought this pain and won before, he won’t succumb to it now.
‘Mind over body. Mind over body. Mind over body.’
Tezuka continued repeating the phrase in his head until everything dulled, and he didn’t hear his mind chanting the words no more.

The soft dim light from the lamp next to the hospital bed was kind to his heavy lidded eyes. His sight blurry due to the absence of his glasses but he would always recognize the hazy form quietly resting at the side of the bed, holding on to his hand. Tezuka noticed the wires connecting him to the instrument measuring his pulse and blood pressure, as well as the IV tube connected on his right arm. His left shoulder held in place by a light gelled brace and a rigid wrap strapped his upper arm and elbow firmly. He gently adjusted his hand held by Fuji, turning so he could hold Fuji’s warm hand. The gentle grip of Fuji’s hand quickly awakened the sleeping man. His eyes now visible, and a smile radiated on Fuji’s lips.
“Kunimitsu,” Fuji pressed his hand firmly.
Tezuka noticed the redness in Fuji’s eyes, and the worry painted dark rings underneath. Fuji’s smile failed to hide the nervous quiver of his lips when he tried to hold the tears wetting his fear laden eyes.
“I’m alright Syusuke.” Tezuka affirmed confidently but he knew it didn’t convince his boyfriend.
“You gave me quite a scare, seeing you unconscious and pale-faced in the bathroom." Fuji slowly muttered trying to maintain a calm voice without choking.
“I couldn’t call you,” Tezuka explained, “I didn’t mean to…”
Fuji’s lips were on Tezuka’s, halting the athlete from his apology. Tezuka eyes openly meeting the set of blues already brightened by the pooling tears that slowly trickled down Fuji’s flustered cheeks.
“You need to slow down." Fuji scolded. The calmness in his voice disappeared when his throat tightened while holding back his sobs, “Tennis is important to you, but if you overdo it again like you did five years ago, you will end up …”
This time, Tezuka’s lips stopped Fuji from his fearful foreshadowing. Both intensely focused on each other.
“I am not going to be that careless, Syusuke,” Tezuka stated firmly. “I promise.”
Tezuka watched his boyfriend close his eyes and sigh. Fuji sat at the edge of the bed and gently raked his hand through Tezuka's comb-starved hair. Tezuka reached to caress Fuji’s face, brushing aside the soft tresses draping his eyes, and tenderly wiped the wetness away from his cheeks.
Tezuka didn’t have the heart to tell Fuji it was their last sexual escapade that caused his shoulder’s swelling pain. Even though Fuji wasn’t heavy, his full weight was on his arms while he held his lover's legs, and balanced him as he thrust into his body. They had sex, with him in a standing position. Vigorously thrusting into Fuji's rear and Fuji slamming down on him with equal force until they reached their limit, pushed his tennis abused shoulder beyond the stressful pull it could handle.
Suddenly, the blue eyes widened like Fuji read his mind.
“No, it had nothing to do with you." Tezuka interjected.
“But it probably made it worse for you." Fuji carefully laid his head on Tezuka’s chest, “I’m sorry. I should have thought of …”
“Shhhh,” Tezuka whispered as his fingers played with the silky strands of Fuji’s hair, “I wasn’t complaining. Best sex I’ve had and on my birthday. Just to let you know, that won’t be the last time Syusuke.” Tezuka kissed Fuji’s forehead. “I will need to take some precautions next time we do it."
"Maybe, I should register you for one of those gadget." Fuji gazed up at him, resting his chin on Tezuka’s chest.
“Gadget?” Tezuka queried, quite bemused.
“Yeah, remember the infomercial, “Help, I’ve fallen! I can’t get up!” Fuji blurted mimicking the elderly’s voice from the TV ad.
“I was thinking more in the lines of strengthening my upper body." Tezuka replied flatly and seriously glaring at his lover. “Maybe, we’ll just stop being adventurous with sex and do it the easy way,” Tezuka continued, leaning closer to whisper in Fuji’s ears, “doggy-style.”
“Maybe, we should just not do it at all." Fuji glinted at him. Smiling deviously he continued, “Or maybe, we should consider switching positions.”
Tezuka stared at his lover, “That’s vicious coming from you.”
“Hmmm? We’ve done it before,” Fuji purred, “Me pounding in you, you panting and groaning, oh and begging…”
Tezuka kissed Fuji so hard, his tongue teasing his lover until he surrendered to him moaning. “You were saying?”
“It was just a suggestion,” Fuji glassy blues beamed at him.
“Maybe,” Tezuka uttered before kissing his lover deeply once more.

I love the interaction between the two of them, it's so sweet! The love and concern they have for each other is just perfect ♥♥♥

Thank you for reading.

Haha, Fuji-chibi is naughty and can't resist the sexiness that is Tezuka-kun~~♥ I haven't even done any preparation for NaNo!xD;; My muse has gone all quiet and I can't think up the setting and characters ><

I have a plot outline and characters for my original story for NaNo but I might be going way over my head with it, exploring a setting I am not very familiar. I did some research all night and I am not confident about pulling it together, but I have one more week to read about my setting and learn more...so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
think of a simple setting and plot you can be comfortable with. If you can't think of original characters write fanfiction. good luck!

I won't be going with a original story; it would be my first shot at writing length prose for TeFu :3 My idea would be to write a medieval time period AU piece and while I have read a number of novels with plots based in this eras, I am still pretty unsure of how to go about creating the noble families, places and conflicts between the various factions ^^;

I hope you will be able to work out the setting and characters for your NaNo story...I would love to read a historical Tezfu novel. Ganbare!

You do realise that if I can even make the 50k wordcount, the story would need heavy editing for me to even dare post it up? That in itself would probably take some time too ^^;
no subject
I am not in a hurry to get mine edited, I have the entire winter to work on my piece.
no subject
Haha, the main point of NaNo is afterall, to get the main story down, ne? We can worry about the quality later once we have succesfully made it to the finishing line ^^
no subject
Just send me a message whenever you need editing or other beta work...more than happy to help out.
no subject
Thanks for the offer; I will definitely take you up on it when I get working on the editing of the fic! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!:3

I plan to do the same before I send my work to show my writing buddy, since we try to limit grammar editing so we could concentrate on critique discussion of the story. Self-editing also helps improve your grammar. But I have no problems doing beta work concentrating on grammar edits...I like doing that kind of stuff.
no subject
I would probably try to clear up all the grammar mistakes first before sending the piece to you since that would allow you to focus more on the important aspects; clearing such stuff up is the bare minimum I ought to do and am capable of anyway ^^ Me too!:D

Can't help but falling in love with this couple again.. *dreamy sigh*

Arigatou for reading Ivy-chan!

The beginning kinda scared me.
Ever since I almost passed out in the metro I'm so scared of passing out >_< The way you described it was exactly how it feels and it's scary. But the ending was soooo great! I loved it XD Fuji can tease again!

I didn't mean to make Tezuka suffer but sometimes he could be reckless when it comes to trying things with Fuji...but I guess now they both know the limits for the time being, until Tezuka becomes stronger.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the read.

They know their limits an they also know their love has no limits ^_^

The first scene with Tezuka being sick, and ending up in the hospital honestly had me worried... but luckily enough Fuji was there to make it all better. ^^ The scene where Fuji sat by his bedside was really cute.
And as for the cause of the pain in Tezuka's shoulder, I guess they'll just need to find another position. And I fully trust Fuji to be creative in that respect. ^^
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for reading Mona-chan!

Their interaction was soo beautiful...although i got scared in the beginning but the ending fully made up for the initial scare and the reason behind the aching shoulders just blew me away..soo funny.
Nice piece, junn-chan. I can have something else to think about aside from my RL

I hope RL is not too much of a pressure of late. Take care always.

I wonder how they would explain how Tezuka ended up in hospital to their family and friends, lol.

Lucky for Tezuka, he did injure his shoulder due to playing tennis...we'll let him use that excuse and keep the real reason among us fangirls! lols.
